Put a Health Calculator on Your Website

Two of my calculators are free to embed on a clinic, blog, school or community site. Copy the code, paste it into your page, and it works. There is no sign-up, no tracking and no cost.

The one condition

Keep the link to drgily.com that sits with the widget. The code below has two parts: the calculator frame, which carries its own credit line, and a plain text link underneath it. Please leave both in place. If a calculator is useful to your readers, the link is how they find the page behind it, with the method, the references and my name on it.

I wrote and checked the content, and I keep the calculators current. If I change an equation, your copy changes with it. Nothing you embed collects anything from your visitors: the numbers are worked out in the browser and go nowhere.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. I would rather have these used and linked to than kept behind a login.

Can I change how it looks?

You can set the width and height of the frame and place it anywhere. The inside of the frame stays as I made it, so the credit line stays with it.

Can I use it in patient material?

You may. It is an estimate for healthy adults and not a diagnosis, and the frame says so. If your patients have a heart, lung or metabolic condition, the number is a conversation starter for you and them, not a result.
